A walk in the woods.

Robert and I went for a walk in the woods, and came upon this eagle, landing on his nest. It was quite a gruesome site! Click the photo to look at his nest closely, he’s got deer antlers and all kinds of things in there, not counting the human skeleton. He was a pretty big eagle to be able to carry all that stuff into the nest!

We ran as fast as we could!

And I hope you don’t believe a word of it, because none of it is true. LOL. Someone in Lincoln, Montana set this up over Halloween, it’s sitting on main street. I just did a little photoshopping to take the buildings, power lines, roads, and solar panels.

Hope you liked the sculpture! :)

Any Bird Watchers Out There?

The Sunday that the hay arrived and we were spending quality time with the horses and the dogs, we also had an unusual visitor. At first, it was flying with the turkey vultures, and was just another black winged object in the sky. As it got closer, we knew we had an eagle, but not certain what kind. Earlier in the year, before the snow had melted, I had spotted a bald eagle flying over the pastures. This one was with the flock of vultures. I would have to venture the guess that it is an immature baldy, but there seems something about the beak that does not seem heavy enough. Bald eagles were rare around here and are getting more common. Any one have an idea on what species of eagle this would be?

We zoomed as much as we could and these photos are then zoomed in on the computer, so excuse the pixilation.
