He’s finished all bar sealing and adding the strings for hanging on the back.� Then it will be off to the East Coast Specatular Arabian show in Sydney next week – for sale on my stand.�

Stage 2
An update on my black arab painting 24″ x 32″ acrylic. I’ve decided to limit my palette to 4 colours for this particular painting. Starting with the rump an jaw line Ive blocked in darks to give shape to these areas. Its funny but when you look at some photos you can see other colours in there as well with this fellow there is a rose pink tone throughout the lights of his coat.

Started on his right side adding colour to his rump and down his leg. Happy with the progress in this drawing, will be putting Pendragon aside for a few weeks now as I prepare for the bit Arabian show next month.

Pendragon
Pendragon is a knadstrapper stallion, I just love all his spots. Its amazing that we think of white animals as white but when you look closely there are lovely pinks and mauves and sometimes a bit of blue mixed in. Im really enjoying being back at the easel. Pendragon is my first pastel on the easel for the year.

This little guy has been in my collection for sometime and I have been reluctant to sell him. But the time has come to offer him for sale to add a few more pennies to my Arizona Bucket fund.
A lot of what I wrote in my previous post I should have pointed out where quotes from one of the other artists who will be also exhibiting in Arizona in 2011. If it doesn’t sell within a year and a half, then it will be going to a Gallery in Arizona in 2011. Unless, I come up with something that I like better and would rather send! Which is very likely to happen, lol. as Im on the look out for new images for just that purpose in mind.

What??? Did you read that right??? A Gallery in 2011???!!!! Arizona????!!!! YES YES You sure� did!!!! I’ve been so excited about this exhibit that I was personally invited to be a part of Im going to be one of the Aussie artists in this exhibition along with a number of American artists! Renowned American equine artists
The best part is that I’m going to be there!!! I’m going to Arizona in 2011 to a group Gallery opening with my art!!!! Equine themed art in Arizona whoo hoo.
So, now I need an Arizona Trip fund! Purchasing my art will be a huge help in getting me there. It doesn’t matter if the sales are from originals or commissioned work.
Each sale will help towards funding this trip! Im also looking into grants and sponsorship. Any prospective sponsors out there ???
You’ll be able to share in one of the most important trips of my career so far. Oh the possibilities!
Lots of stuff is going on in the background with the coordinators, so as time gets closer & I have the go ahead, I will give you the big plans, Dates, places, and other artists involved. Cant wait to meet the other artists in person who’s work I admire greatly.�

This is a dedicated group of people in Queensland Australia that look after horses and ponies in that State.
Charlie’s Angels Horse Rescue Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation (endorsed as a deductible gift recipient) whose purpose is to rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected, abandoned and homeless horses in order to improve their lives. Charlie’s Angels Horse Rescue Inc. then finds permanent “forever” homes for these horses through its adoption schemed. The organisation undertakes community education as an essential part of its role in addressing welfare issues.
